Scientifically Speaking:
Classification: Animalia

Class: Mammalia
Order: Carnivore
Family: Ursidae
Genus: Ursus
Species: Ursus Arctos (Brown Bears, Grizzly Bears)
Technically, grizzlies are a subspecies of brown bear and can be identified by the silver hump between their shoulders. In North America they are second only to the polar bear in size. While they are classified as carnivores, most of their diet consists of fish, roots, fruits, insects and berries, making them mostly omnivorous. However, their diet also depends on food availability, meaning that they will eat whatever they can find, so, deer, elk and small animals will also make it on to the menu.
